Those of you who have joined our Boot Camp classes know that we focus primarily on band and body weight workouts. I am frequently asked where we get our bands and which ones we suggest.

So, I decided to make it easy for everyone and provide you with all the information you need to purchase the correct bands so you can workout on your own when you are not with us.

Resistance Band Workouts:

For the bands we use in our workouts, we suggest the following:

Click Here => Perform Better  => Bands and Tubing and then get the following based on your individual needs:

1) Superbands (Resistance training bands)

The sizes you want are:

  • 1/2 inch thick (easiest one)
  • 1 inch thick (for more challenging muscles like back and legs)

These bands are great for all body exercises. They are strong, durable and this site is the only place I've been able to find them.

2) Economy Tubing with Handles (Resistance Tubing)

  • Magenta-medium
*This is the one I would suggest, if you were to buy only one.
  • Red- Heavy

These are the bands we use in our class (attached to fence, partner exercises, etc.) They are great for all the exercises and they are not expensive. They are strong and durable (Ive tried to go cheap and buy bands, but have found thay don't last and often snap while working out).

Also, if you purchase these, make sure when they give you a choice for handles, go with the FOAM.....they are much more comfortable to use.

3) Exercise Bands - Mini Bands  (lateral resistance bands & tubing)

These are the small bands we put around our ankles or thighs.

  • Green - Medium
  • Blue - Heavy

So, there you have all the bands we typically use in class.

By purchasing these bands, you can get a whole gym for under $50.00 (including shipping!!) You can't beat that. Also, as a side, I suggest getting a stability ball, as it is also a great piece of equipment to have.

I hope this was helpful and please contact us with any questions at livin2bfit@losefatlivehealthy.com
